Student Help
The Community Music Alliance supports music students of all levels, with a special focus on those pursuing performance. We offer a range of opportunities—completely free of charge—to help you grow as a musician. As you progress, we invite you to give back and support others in the same way. That’s how our community thrives.
Performance anxiety
Performance anxiety, or stage fright, is perhaps more common among professional musicians than you might think. We’re here to help! We offer sessions given by a licensed music therapist that will teach you the skills you need to manage performance anxiety. The program is offered at no charge – donations are always welcome to help us cover the cost. More information
Recital practice
Would you like the opportunity to perform your recital material before a friendly audience, in advance of the big day? We would be happy to arrange a performance opportunity or two, at no charge. Contact us to arrange a recital
ISSMA and KMEA accompanist
We believe that everyone deserves to have an accompanist! But not everyone can afford one.

ISSMA and KMEA judges do a great job making allowances for those that don’t have an accompanist. But wouldn’t it be nice if everyone has one? To make sure everyone gets that opportunity, we are happy to provide an accompanist at no charge for rehearsal and the performance itself – just donate whatever you are able, or ask about other ways to give back to our community. Contact us to arrange for an accompanist
Internships
We offer meaningful and varied internship possibilities, in fields as diverse as non-profit administration, sound engineering, teaching, radio production, orchestral and choral conducting and organization, composition and arranging, social media and marketing, and much more. Contact us if you are interested in becoming an intern.
Composition students
We provide opportunities for you to have your compositions performed and/or recorded, if such are not already available to you, drawing upon our network of musicians and ensembles. Radio airplay could also be an option – contact us for more details.
